Two things I’m feeling this Sunday Night

It’s Sunday night and I’m winding down.  I’m totally feeling two thing right now that I wanted to share.  My Kindle Fire and my Two Buck Chuck from Trader Joe’s.

The weather is finally cooling down in Los Angeles and I’m late when it comes to getting a Kindle.  Part of me didn’t want the Kindle Fire because I didn’t want another distraction or way for searching the web.  But I got it and I love it!  It truly gets me to read more without the clutter of books everywhere!  I’m currently reading On Dublin Street, some well-rated romance I downloaded two days ago for $3.99.  And two buck Chuck from Trader Joe’s…what more do I need to say?

How I Wear My Hoody Cardigan

It’s summertime and we have some Black hoody cardigans in stock!  Reasons why you need sleeves in June?

1. It is blockbuster movie season! The most important movie weekend of the year (4th of July) is days away and when I went to the movie last week they nearly froze me out!

2. Summer nights are still cool in California.

It’s Time for Some Fall Comfort Food: Corn Chowder

It’s Fall, and even though it was 80-something degrees in L.A. today, I’m still in the spirit of the season! Sundays deserve special food attention, and I’ve been craving soups and warm liquids.  So I took a stab at Ina Garten’s (aka The Barefoot Contessa) recipe and it was delicious! I highly recommend cutting the recipe in half (except for the bacon and the butter!)  I would also recommend reducing the chicken broth just a bit if you want the consistency a little thicker.
